a. to classify the expressions in exercise 4 into 4 groups:
to introduce an opinion, to ask for agreement, to show disagreement, to ask another person’s opinion, and to show agreement
listen and check your answer
listen to the tape about pronunciation in exercise 7
Stage 5 post listening
listen to some music extracts in exercise 9 and use the words in exercise 1 to describe the music extracts.
Finish exercise 10 on phrasal verbs
Vocabulary: Phrasal Verbs with “turn”
turn on，turn off，turn up和turn down都和“开、关（电器）”有关，但用法有别。
?? turn on意为“（把水源、煤气、电源等）打开”，
其反义词组为turn off。
Please turn off the radio. 请把收音机关上。
Turn on the light，please. 请打开灯。
?? turn down意为“（把收音机的音量、灯等）关小、调低”，其反义词组为turn up。
She sat down and turned up the radio. 她坐下来，把收音机开大。
Please turn down the radio a little. 请把收音机关小点。
这些短语中on，off，up，down均为副词，后接代词时，应放在词组中间；后接名词时，放中间放后面均可。
The radio is very loud. Can you turn it down a little?
收音机声音太大，你能关小一点吗？
Turn up the radio. = Turn the radio up. 把收音机的声音调大一点。
turn out 意为“生产”；
ture over意为“打翻，周转”。
He couldn’t fall asleep,turning over in bed form time to time.他无法入睡，在床上翻来覆去。
turn down”关小，调低；拒绝，驳回“；
turn in “交出，上缴”；
turn into变成；
turn off关掉，断掉；
