Lesson 1 Futurology
Teaching aims:
1. To go over the simple future
2. To familiarize with future perfect and future continuous
3. To do some exercises about the future, and just talk about past simple future and past future perfect
4. To develop the students’ ability to express their imaginations and to cooperate by working in pairs and groups
Teaching procedure:
Step 1.Warm-up
To show some pictures of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, to lead in the topic : the future is so bright
To suppose you want to see the games in Beijing in 2oo8, what is your plan for the future? (to see the cartoon, to go over simple future )
一般将来时表示将要发生的动作或出现的状态，由shall(will)＋原形动词；
或 am(is, are)+going to+原形动词构成
动词如go, come, leave, begin等可用现在进行时表示未来表示计划或安排的动作
Am(is, are )+to+原形动词，表示计划或安排好的动作
Am(is, are)+about +原形动词表示最近将发生的动作，一般不带时间副词或片语
动词come, go, arrive, leave, start, begin, return的一般现在时可以表示将来，主要用来表示在时间上已确定或安排好的事情
Step2. Learn the future perfect
To introduce some works the Beijingers are doing, and ask the students to suppose what will have been done before the games?
To introduce the new grammatical structure : sb will have done
To show more pictures of our school, and ask the Ss to make some sentences:
Practice another sentence pattern: When we have had----, we will

在when,as soon as,until, before, after时间状语从句中，通常用现在完成时代替将来完成时，主句用将来时
Step3. Learn the future continuous
Show the opening time of Beijing Games : 2008年8月8日晚上8点08分ask them what they will be doing at that time
To introduce the new grammatical structure: sb will be dong
Show the pictures of some students, ask them to make sentences:

在when,as soon as,until, before, after时间状语从句中，通常用一般现在时代替将来时，主句用将来时

一般将来时 will/shall do, 将要发生的动作或出现的状态
be going to, be(about)to
将来进行时 will be doing 将来某时正在进行的状态或动作，
将来完成时 will have done 将来某一时之前已经完成的动作
过去将来时 would do/
was going to 从过去某一时间看来将要发生的
/was(about) to 动作或存在的状态
过去将来完成时would have done 与过去事实相反的虚拟语气
