Dear diary,
Today in class the teacher told us a story, in which he was optimistic and maintained a positive attitude when his car broke down on his way to school.
I appreciate the teacher’s optimistic attitude to difficulty, which allowed him to stay positive to perform his job well. If he didn’t do so, this one problem would have turned into many other problems.
The story reminded me of waiting in line with Li Hua at the amusement park last summer. There were so many people waiting in line for boating and I felt upset at wasting so much time queuing. But Li Hua said with a smile, “We haven’t seen each other for ages. I have so many wonderful things to tell you. Let’s share this precious chance to chat with each other.” It dawned on me that waiting in line was not a problem but an opportunity.
Now I’m determined to always be optimistic when I meet problems. Rather than think of study as a pressure, I should see it as an opportunity to learn more about the world.

Three brothers, who worked for the same company , received different wages due to their different attitudes towards their work, which shows right attitude is of great help to one’s life.
Their different attitudes towards their work result in their different wages. From the story I can conclude that those who take positive attitude towards work will be rewarded.
Different attitudes lead to different results. Take Xiao Hua as an example. They are both my classmates. Not only does he put his heart into study but he is also helpful both to teachers and students. So he has become a top student in our class, even in the grade. With his diligence and concentration, he is bound to succeed in entering his ideal university. "Just how friendly is Friendly Ford?" I asked and explained my trouble. They quickly drove a pickup truck to my car and started it. They would accept no payment, so when I got home, I wrote them a note to say thanks. I received a letter back from one of the salesmen. No one had ever taken the time to write him and say thank you, and it meant a lot, he said.

In this passage, the writer got more help and pleasure after he expressed thanks to others for their help, and he realized “thank you” are easy to say and mean so much.
I have a similar experience. Once when I was about to go home after school, it was raining so heavily that I had to wait for the rain to stop. But after half an hour it was still raining. Seeing this, the guard at the gate offered to lend me his umbrella. I accepted at once. Thanks to his help, I got home on time without getting wet. The next morning, when I returned the umbrella to the guard, I said thank you to him and left him a note expressing my gratitude sincerely. To my surprise, he said no one had ever written him to say thank you, and it meant a lot to him.
So in my opinion, saying thank you to others is not only easy but also meaningful to the person who says it and the receiver!

Most people feel lonely sometimes, but it usually lasts only between a few minutes and a few hours. This kind of loneliness is not serious. In fat, it is quite normal. For some people, though, loneliness an last for years. Psychologists have already identified three different types on loneliness.
The first kind of loneliness is temporary. This is the most common type. It usually disappears quickly and doe not require any special attention. The second kind, situational loneliness, is a natural result of a particular situation, for example, a divorce, the death of a loved one, or moving to a new place. The third kind of loneliness is the most severe. Unlike the second type, chronic loneliness usually lasts more than two years and has no specific cause. Unfortunately, many chronically lonely people think there is little or nothing they can do to improve their condition.
Most researchers agree that the loneliest people are between the ages of 18 and 25, so a group of psychologists decided to study a group of college freshmen. They found that more then 50 percent were situationally lonely at the beginning of the semester as a result of their new circumstances but had adjusted after a few months. Thirteen percent were still lonely after seven months due to shyness and fear. The situationally lonely freshmen overcame their loneliness by making new friends, but the chronically lonely remained unhappy because they were afraid to do so.
