Six women with various national backgrounds are featured, and different aspects of their life are explored, like, their social position, contributions and hardships ;meanwhile, their achievements in a wide variety of fields are highly praised. Ss will know better the roles women play in social life, with their(esp. girl students')self-esteem and sense of social responsibility boosted. 2.学情分析(analysis of the students) Ss are still familiar with the quality of great people. They must be interested in the topic of great women. They may show various learning skills and strategy. It is easier for them to connect language learning with real life and interest. By previewing, Ss have already had the background knowledge about Jane Goodall and African wildlife. First have a general idea about these famous women and then have a brief introduction.
