Yours_sincerely, Li_Hua ***********************************************************结束 俗话说,粮草未动兵马先行,此为用兵之道。造句也是如此,欲想造出准确、地道的好句子,根据句意有的放矢地准备材料也就显得相当重要。造句时可以从下列角度准备材料。 一、准备表达句意所需要的词汇 词汇是最基本的语言单位,任何英文句子首先是单词有规律的组合,因此根据句意需要有针对性地准备词汇,这样才可以从内容上确保句意的完整。当然准备词汇时不能只考虑句意,还应考虑词汇的词性及其在句子中所作的成分,这样才能保证句子符合语法,保证句意表达得正确。 例1:我知道你喜欢唱歌,而且那个时候你会呆在北京。 表达:I know you like singing, and you'll be in Beijing during that period. 析:分析语境逻辑不难发现句意中的"我"作主语,应准备主格人称代词"I";"知道"为行为动词,应准备"know";"你"也作主语,应准备主格人称代词"you";"喜欢"为行为动词,应准备"like";"唱歌"虽表动作但作宾语,应准备动名词"singing";"那个时候"作时间状语,应准备"during that time";第二个"你"也作主语,应准备主格人称代词"you";介词短语"呆在北京"为系表结构,应准备动介搭配"be in Beijing"。 例2:我的叔叔将从法国回家,我已答应明天下午三点到机场接他。 表达:My uncle is returning home from France and I have promised to meet him at the airport at three tomorrow afternoon. 析:为表达该句句意而准备词汇时关键应注意三个代词的形式。第一个代词"我的"为形容词性物主代词,应表达为"My";第二个代词"我"作主语,应表达为主格人称代词"I";第三个代词"他"作宾语,应准备宾格人称代词"him"。 二、准备短语或句型,搭建句子结构 任何一个句子都有特定句型,并很有可能有一至数个特定短语,有的放矢地准备好短语或句型可以快速合理搭建句子框架,呈现句子雏形。 例1:我可以有自己的兴趣,如读书、参观博物馆、上电脑课。 表达:I can follow my own interests, such as reading books, visiting museums and taking computer lessons. 析:认真分析语境逻辑不难发现,表达"有自己的兴趣"可准备短语"follow my own interests";表达"读书、参观博物馆、上电脑课"等列举性内容时可准备such as A, B and C列举句型;其中表达句中A、B、C对应内容可准备三个短语reading books, visiting museums和taking computer lessons。这些短语和句型的成功准备为正确表达句意打下了良好的基础。 例2:我正沿着公园路向东走,这时一个老年人从街道对面的公园走了出来。 表达:I was walking along Park Road towards the east when an elderly man came out of the park on the other side of the street. 析:分析语境含义不难发现,"正......这时......"的语境逻辑提醒我们准备"was / were doing sth...when..."句型。有理由相信,这个句型的成功准备基本奠定了本句句意表达的胜局。相反,如果准备不出该句型,该句句意就难以准确表达。 例3:除大量例子外,它还有许多注释告诉你如何使用词汇。 表达:Besides plenty of examples, it has many notes telling you how to use a word. 析:分析语境含义可知,本句框架为"除......之外还有......",表达时应准备"Besides...it has..."句型;表达"告诉你如何使用词汇"可准备常见句型"tell sb. how to do sth."。将这两个句型合理搭配,本句句意不难成功表达。 三、准备时态、语态和主谓语一致等语法内容。句子最重要的成份是动词。动词的时态、动词的语态和主谓一致是大多数同学失分的地方,所以应是同学们最需要关注的地方。表达句意时应重点做好这些角度的准备工作。 例1:今天我从报上了解到7月18日北京电视台将举办外国人"学中文,唱中文歌"才艺大赛。 表达:I read in a newspaper today that a "Learn Chinese, Sing Chinese Songs" Foreigner's Talent Show will be held in the Beijing Television Station on July 18. 析:分析语境含义可知,句中"了解"为过去性动作,应准备一般过去时;表达"北京电视台将举办外国人'学中文,唱中文歌'才艺大赛"时,如果将"外国人'学中文,唱中文歌'才艺大赛"作为主语,应准备一般将来时的被动语态结构will be held。 例2:对面过去操场所处的地方现在矗立着一幢新的高楼--我们的图书馆。 表达:On the other side, where the playground used to be now stands a new building-our library. 析:认真分析语境逻辑和时态背景不难确定,表达句中"所处......"时应准备一般过去时,表达"现在矗立着"应准备一般现在时第三人称单数动词"stands"。只有这样才能保证时态和主谓语一致的正确表达。 四、准备语境所需句式,确保句意完美表达。一个语法上正确的句子还得根据句意和语境情感的需要使用最合适的句式加以表达,只有这样才算最准确、最恰当、最完美地表达了句意。 例1:我最喜欢的课程是英语和电脑。 表达:It is English and Computer courses that I like best. 析:该句强调我对英语和电脑特别喜爱的愉快之情,表达时可准备强调句型。 例2:看到庄稼和蔬菜长得这么好,我们是多么高兴啊!
