Britain’s Prince William and Kate Middleton married at Westminster Abbey on Friday in a great show of British pageantry that attracted a huge world audience and gave new life into the country.
As the couple emerged on the balcony(阳台)and waved to the well-wishers below, the crowd cheered on them happily. The couple looked relieved and happy as they gave each other a brief kiss on the lips. After a few moments of cheers from the crowd, they leaned in for a longer kiss. Kate is the first “commoner” to marry a prince of UK in more than 350 years. It was believed that there were about two billion viewers on television, the Internet, or other media who witnessed the great moment.
