Yesterday, I, along with my friends went to the Water Cube to cheer for the American athletes in the diving competition. I waved the flag with efforts and took lots of photos of the wonderful moment. While watching them receiving the gold medal, I acclaimed excitedly without noticing my camera drop to the ground. On my way back to the hotel, I realized my camera was gone, so I immediately rushed to the Lost and Found in the Water Cube to try my luck. Fortunately, I found my camera, which was returned by a volunteer. I thanked the volunteer and offered him some cash in return. To my surprise, he turned me down, saying that it was his duty to do so.
I was moved by their hospitality and sincerity. I felt grateful for their help.

Whatever one does, one should do it with confidence. Equipped with confidence, we can deal with any challenges and difficulties until we succeed.
When I entered Senior 3, I found myself faced with difficulty learning English, and even failed in my English exam. As a consequence I began to feel frustrated, losing confidence in myself. It was at this moment that my parents encouraged me, and my teachers gave me some valuable advice on my studies, telling me to be confident. With their help, I regained my confidence and began to make steady progress.

Recently our school has had a survey on reading. It shows that 45 percent of the students spend their time reading textbooks after school. 30% of the students choose to read cartoons in their leisure time. However, only 10 percent enjoy reading literature.
Why are so many students unwilling to spend some time in reading serious works? According to the survey, 48 percent of the students say they have no enough time because they have too much homework to do. Some complain that literature works are so thick that they have hardly enough patience to finish them. Others who only concentrate on how to get high scores simply admit that reading literature won’t help them at all with their exams.
